Off Season Work Weekend

We finally had calm winds for a couple days so we cut down some dead trees and dragged them to the burn pile and let it go all weekend.  I also filled all the feeders and cleaned out the deer stands.

Here is one of our clover patches looking pretty good.  The deer have not been in it much since there is green everywhere now with the mild weather.

We wrapped some willows at the beaver pond with wire to keep the beavers from cutting everything down.

The water had dropped about 4 inches since we had a big rain earlier in the week and here is one of the breeches in the dam.  I guess the beavers are not back in here yet.  We will let it drain for a while so we can plant groceries for the ducks before hoping the beavers show back up or we put in a water control device.

I also cleared out a spot for a protein feeder under a huge oak at Delrose.

I still had some time to get on the water and catch a few fish and incredible sunset.
